*I Bought This*
Hi there everyone! This time of year is my favorite time of year. The leaves are changing, it’s cooling down from the summer heat, and all of the pretty fall/winter collections come out. As soon as I saw the colors from Essie’s press release and the cute names of the polishes, I knew I had to have this collection! The whole collection is inspired by Tokyo, Japan. On to the pictures!!! 🙂
First up we have Kimono-over. Essie describes this as a damson Plum. I used two coats, but it was nearly a one-coater. No top coat on top either in this picture! It has super high gloss shine.
Here’s Shine of the Times over Kimono-over. Look at that flakie shift!!! Yummy!
Next up is Maki Me Happy. Essie describes this as a crimson-wrapped berry, and I have to agree with that! I used two coats for the photo and no top coat. All of these polishes have high gloss shine.
Now and Zen is described as a Sage Gray by Essie’s website. I’m a sucker for grays and this one is no exception! There is a slight tint of green to it as well. I’m not sure if my camera picked up on that though. Two coats and one coat of top coat.
Go Go Geisha is described as an antique blossom pink. This color is such a pretty neutral, but I don’t think it works too well with my skintone. I used two coats and one coat of top coat.
Udon Know Me is described as a mysterious stony blue. Such a pretty shade although it seems more green to me. I used two coats and one coat of top coat for the picture.
And last but not least is Playing Koi. Essie describes this as an orange rust. I think this color is my pick from the whole collection. I have nothing like it in my whole Essie collection… Or my whole collection for that matter. Perfect for fall, and makes me think of Pumpkin Spice Lattes. I used two coats plus top coat for the picture.
Well, there you have it! Which colors were your favorites? If I could only pick three, mine would be Playing Koi, Maki Me Happy, and Kimono-over. Thanks for reading today and I’ll talk to you all soon!
